The ESAB Coreshield 8 is a premium, all-positional self-shielded (gasless) flux-cored wire designed specifically for critical structural applications. Its 1.6mm (1/16″) diameter and 11.34kg (25lb) spool make it a powerhouse for outdoor construction, where wind makes gas-shielding impossible. Engineered for use with DCEN polarity, it delivers excellent arc stability and high-impact toughness, meeting AWS D1.8 Seismic Supplement requirements for demand-critical welds.
